My Story

Hi, I’m Bean, a Vietnamese living in Toyooka, Japan. Over the years, I’ve learned that cooking Vietnamese food abroad doesn’t have to be complicated. Even when certain ingredients are unavailable, it’s still possible to recreate familiar flavors by adapting to what is available locally. This project is my journey of exploring Vietnamese home cooking in Japan, sharing 100 recipes that combine local Japanese ingredients with the techniques and seasonings that make Vietnamese food special.
